Abstract

Introduction and objectives:  The relevance of positive surgical margins (PSM) in prostate cancer patients undergoing radical prostatectomy (RP) remains controversial, given its inconsistent predictive capacity for biochemical recurrence (BCR) and other outcomes. Recently, several studies have explored the location of positive surgical margins and their ability to predict BCR. Hence, we aimed to systematically review and perform a network meta-analysis answering the clinical question: Does the location of PSM (Comparator and Intervention) influence the risk of BCR (Outcomes) in men with PSM after RP (Population)?
