Abstract
The articles we have selected for this special issue lean into some timely issues and questions affecting representations of children and war: from revisionist histories that elevate children’s experiences and voices to a consideration of marginalised texts that can teach us more about children’s lives during war.In curating the articles, we aimed to observe a relevant cross-section of stories from different times and locations across the world. The articles show the robust scholarly engagement with stories from Europe that seek to find and explore untold or marginal stories that reveal something we should know about children’s experiences of war.
