Editorial: Selected papers from the Digital Image Computing Technology and Applications Conference 2007 (DICTA 2007)

Digital Image Computing Technology and Applications (DICTA) is the flagship event hosted by the Australian Pattern Recognition Society. Since the inception of DICTA in 1991, the conference has provided a forum for researchers in the area of image analysis and its applications to communicate their findings. DICTA is based in Australia and New Zealand but has attracted increasing interest from other parts of the world. Twenty four percent of the papers submitted to DICTA2007 were from outside Australia and New Zealand, as were all six invited speakers.
