Effect of sustained hyperglycemia in growth hormone secretion in free-moving rats

    Abstract

    Sustained hyperglycemia was shown not to suppress growth hormone secretion in the free-moving conscious rat. It is concluded that the rat is not a suitable model for the study of the effects of glucose on growth hormone secretion.
