Abstract

This report sets out the findings of an evaluation of the Indulkana (Iwantja) Youth and Community Shed (the ‘Shed’) program. Indulkana (Iwantja) is located on the eastern edge of the Aṉangu Pitjantjatjara Yankunytjatjara (APY) Lands in the remote north-west of South Australia. There is limited access to goods and services available, and transport is not readily accessible in the area. Currently there are about 300 people living on the community. The Australian Centre for Community Services Research at Flinders University was commissioned by Uniting Care Wesley Country SA( UCWCSA) to undertake the evaluation during the period of February to August 2016.
