Evaluation of the Youth Support and Development Program: Quantitative analysis of the service model

Research output: Book/ReportCommissioned report

Abstract

The Youth Support and Development (YSD) Program funds organisations to deliver programs and services to at risk or vulnerable young people in South Australia. This program seeks to establish positive trajectories for at risk and vulnerable young people towards more sustainable and enduring wellbeing by improving their participation in education, employment, training, volunteering and connection to positive social, cultural
and/or community opportunities. The program also includes a CBD based Safe Youth Transport Service.

Current services under the YSD Program have been contracted for the 2021-2024 financial years. To make informed decisions for the next commissioning stage, the DHS Evaluation Management Office (EMO) has been engaged to provide and execute an evaluation of the services during the three-year period (2021-23 data).
