Abstract

The modification of traditional cultural practices (or norms) by migrant groups is a well-recognised process in adapting to a new environment and an established culture often vastly different from their own. Other influences affecting that change derive from diverse issues such as climate and material resources to the divergent socio-economic influences of the dominant culture.
