Exercise-based cardiac rehabilitation (CR) promotes secondary prevention of cardiovascular disease and is an essential component of routine care for patients with acute coronary syndrome, heart failure, and those undergoing revascularization (e.g. coronary artery bypass graft or percutaneous coronary intervention).1,2
