title = "Experiences of Migrants and Refugees Accessing Healthcare Services in Regional Australia",
abstract = "The challenges faced by migrants and refugees in accessing healthcare in regional Australia are multifaceted. Language barriers, cultural differences, and limited access to healthcare resources all contribute to the difficulties in obtaining necessary medical care. This chapter aims to highlight these challenges and will provide insights on how to inform policy and practice for improving healthcare access and outcomes for migrant populations in regional Australia. The chapter seeks to not only understand these challenges but also to propose potential solutions that can make a real difference in the lives of migrants and refugees. By addressing these barriers, the chapter seeks to not only enhance healthcare access and outcomes but also to attract migrants and refugees to resettle in regional areas. The chapter intends to synthesise evidence from successful literature reports to inform strategies for improving healthcare access for migrants and refugees in regional Australia. Ultimately, enhancing healthcare resources in regional areas will benefit not only migrants and refugees but also the broader regional population, which is currently under-resourced in terms of healthcare services.",
