Abstract

Recognises two types: incipient and established foredunes. Observation on foredune formation during the period 1976-1980 at Myall Lakes National Park, NSW are reported. The mode of development of these foredunes is compared with Australian views on beach ridge formation. Concludes that the beach ridges are in fact relict foredunes. -K.Clayton Div Resource Management, Dept of Agric, Jarrah Rd, S Perth, WA, Australia.
