Abstract

Grounds and the notion of grounding have been essential to all forms of theory and philosophical inquiry. At the base of any founding gesture is a conceptual ground, known as groundwork or the process of grounding. This chapter explores the ways in which knowledge claims are grounded empirically, rationally, critically and in contemporary posthumanist theory in the actual ground.
