    Abstract

The high-resolution FTIR spectrum of FNO has been recorded and the rovibrational structure of the essentially unperturbed ν3, 2ν3, and ν1 + ν3 cold bands and the 2ν3 ← ν3, ν2 + ν3 ← ν3, and ν1 + ν2 + ν3 ← ν3 hot bands has been analyzed. The perturbed bands ν1 and ν1 + ν2 have been assigned and the data analyzed by fitting the transitions with the dark states ν2 + 2ν3 and 2ν2 + 2ν3. Parameters for both light and dark states together with Coriolis coupling parameters have been determined.
