However, evidence demonstrates people with cancer still experience several impediments to effective communication and often have unmet information needs as a result. In this editorial, we provide a brief overview of communication within cancer care as a backdrop to considering how the Caring Life-Course Theory might help to enhance communication across the cancer care continuum.
