Abstract
Aged care is undergoing substantial change across many aspects of care delivery and operations. It is a dynamic sector with multiple drivers of innovation: an ageing population creating greater demand; growing recognition of the rights and expectations of older people who receive care; technological advances; plus broader shifts in population and family dynamics that have led to a decline in ‘traditional’, informal caregiving of older family members. And, of course, in Australia, the Royal Commission has (quite rightly) spawned a raft of policy measures to improve key aspects of the aged care sector. There is a lot going on!
