Abstract
An 86 year old female presented to a remote, Central Australian Health Service (CAHS) with atrial fibrillation and was subsequently evacuated to Alice Springs. The referring clinician queried the accuracy of the point-of-care (POC) creatinine result. The POC and laboratory biochemistry results collected on 29.3.2018 (at times shown) from the i-STAT were assessed for clinical validity.
