InterculturAdelaide: Cultural Adaptivity for the Asian Century: Draft Report 2

Research output: Book/ReportCommissioned report

Abstract

This draft report analyses the proceedings of the InterculturAdelaide policy summit, held in Adelaide on 9 July 2015. Its key finding is that South Australia could reap important benefits by better coordinating its approach to intercultural engagement, namely by adopting certain key elements of the “interculturalism” framework. Such a step would permit the Government of South Australia to engage with interculturalism as a key component of its agenda to transform the state through innovation and integration with Asia. The draft report also recommends that the InterculturAdelaide team now work closely with the Department of Premier and Cabinet to translate its general findings into appropriate action sets for government, with a strong emphasis on creating partnerships with industry, universities and the community sector.
