Abstract

The management of ovarian endometriomas has been the subject of much conjecture in the literature over the past decade – and the systematic review and meta-analysis of randomised and non-randomised studies examining medical treatment for those with endometriomas from Lim et al., 2024 in the current edition of Fertility and Reproduction is a useful addition to this evidence base. It is perhaps another means by which ‘surgery can be avoided to minimise the risk of damage to the ovarian reserve’.
