Abstract
The process of digital forensic exploration is vitally important to the outcome of an investigation. Uncontestable and irrefutable evidence is required for legal purposes and this is underpinned by robust investigative process. This paper is a preliminary enquiry into digital forensic process models specifically for the purpose of education. It identifies the various stakeholders and multiple process models available. It is apparent from this inquiry that no models are complete to serve as an educative model. The paper further considers what requirements are necessary for education in digital forensic processes.
