Abstract

3β-Hydroxyolean-18-en-28-oic acid (morolic acid) has been isolated from the leaves of Eucalyptus grossa Benth. The crystal structure of methyl morolate acetate has been determined and some distortions of the angular geometry in the A/B trans-decalin moiety have been noted.
