Abstract
Migrant communities play unique and vital roles in Australian society, shaping economic, social, and geographical dimensions. They have reshaped the urban environment by establishing both public and private spaces that reflect their cultural heritage. These locations play a crucial role in influencing social cohesion and intercultural dynamics within both migrant and host communities. This study examines the role of the South Australian Italian Association (SAIA) in the context of cultural belonging, place making and community history.
