Abstract
Students and teachers of foreign languages often want to base their efforts on illustrated stories and other works of contemporary children's literature. They will find here multiple educational avenues to do so. Researchers will also be able to draw material from it to feed their thinking. The approach is centered on creative writing. Such an approach, which can be adapted to other educational contexts and for various languages, allows room for the reader and his affections and for building knowledge on linguistic, literary and cultural levels. The book also offers a reflection on the contributions of the image and the text-image, as well as on the evaluation of creative writing in language teaching.
