Para mucha gente, la mención de la Revolución Francesa evoca imágenes de nobles ricos llevados a la guillotina. Gracias a innumerables películas, libros y lecciones de historia medio recordadas, muchos se han quedado con la impresión de que la revolución consistió principalmente en cortar cabezas de reyes, reinas, duques y otros aristócratas adinerados.
