Abstract
In October 2014, the "church militant" lost one of its saints to the "church triumphant": Alan Dutton. In Alan's case the more politically correct term, the "church missional", was a much better fit. He had a passionate commitment to helping small rural churches recognise and participate in the mission of God in their own places.
