    Abstract

It's taken awhile, but I'm willing to accept the label "church leader" these days. I began my journey into church leadership back in 1973 when, as a fifteen year old, I was invited to be a leader on a Presbyterian children's camp. A couple years later I was leading the youth group at my local church, and then a couple of years after that I was a student minister in my first Supervised Field Education placement as an ordination candidate.
