Abstract
This letter critique's Peter Thorley's review, published in Australian Archaeology, of Deborah Bird Rose's 'Dingo Makes us Human'. It argues that the strength of Rose's volume is that she clearly situates her interpretations in her own life experiences with specific Aboriginal people and communities, and in her facilitation of Aboriginal voices.
