Abstract

Evidence shows that the LifeChanger program advances the process of maximizing young people’s potential by providing the resources that develop and strengthen their personal skills, positive mindsets, and belief in self. Young people who participated in the LifeChanger Program showed improvements in health, optimism, resilience, and self-awareness, as well as stronger connections with peers and the broader community. The program is effective in achieving its aim of providing a pathway to effectuate the best life possibilities for young people.
The LifeChanger program could be more effective if resources were differentiated to suit a greater diversity of students. Developmental student outcomes achieved through participation in the program could be sustained if LifeChanger were to provide schools with regular messages about pillar concepts, which could be integrated into school lessons and communications (e.g., daily bulletin, school newsletters, and websites).
The LifeChanger program should continue to be implemented for middle-school students on school campuses, as it is a worthwhile and beneficial program for adolescent self-development.
