Abstract

A creative approach to life and the PhD. Literally In is an audiovisual expression of the messiness of being me. A visual artist, a writer, doctoral researcher, and a psychiatric survivor. Literally In is a multimedia assemblage of my creative arts practice and PhD research, filtered through a lived experience kaleidoscope of mental distress. It explores themes of Madness, history, and creativity, and represents the synchronized chaos that I feel as the subject, object, and researcher.
