Abstract


This chapter provides the reader with a stepwise approach to the decision making and surgical management of a patient with locally advanced, but resectable, gastric cancer. The nuances of timing of chemotherapy and surgery are detailed in the face of compelling evidence supporting the beneficial role of perioperative chemotherapy.
