Abstract

INTRODUCTION

Twin vaginal deliveries encounter some unique complications that are not seen in singleton pregnancies, whereas other complications may occur in a higher incidence. Owing to the differences in mechanisms of labour, especially with regard to the second twin, sometimes these complications differ in their rate as well as severity. Malpositions and malpresentations are such complications that are seen in a higher proportion among twin vaginal deliveries as compared to singleton pregnancies, and different management approaches need to be taken when they occur.
