Abstract
Neurological physiotherapists need to have the knowledge and ability to identify
and assess many neurological impairments, in addition to a clear understanding
of how these impairments affect movement and activity. Sometimes
impairments can improve with restorative rehabilitation strategies, whereas at
other times these impairments will need to be monitored and managed with
compensatory strategies. Prevention of secondary complications is critical.
