Abstract

MICHEL FOUCAULT (Poitiers, France, 1926-1984), one of the fundamental representatives of contemporary French thought, developed a cluster of deep reflections on power in today's society and its direct impact on the lives of individuals. This book, consisting of essays by specialists of various nationalities, takes up, revises and re-articulates Foucault's revolutionary propositions. It is an enlightening and radical work that analyzes a pressing problem: the multiple and sometimes invisible mechanisms adopted by power in our society.
