Abstract

Michelangelo Buonarroti (1475-1564) is rightly regarded as one of the most important artists of the 15th and 16th centuries; one of the very icons of the Italian Renaissance. Besides his artistic masterpieces, Michelangelo’s production is also
compellingly represented in his written works: Rhymes (Rime) and Letters (Lettere).
