Abstract

In this case report a rare complication of choledocholithiasis is presented. Gallstones originally demonstrated in the common bile duct were documented to migrate into the pancreatic duct and in so doing produce acute pancreatitis. This observation lends further support to the etiological association between gallstones and acute pancreatitis.
