Mixing and mingling towards academic writing: Rhythm, words, music

Abstract

When does a poem become a song, or a song become a poem? And when we stumble upon stuck or liminal places, how can we use that borderline space to explore, create, sense-make? Here readers will find their inner composers and wordsmiths, gaining new tools to show and tell, or perhaps to show and not tell. Because when we seek something not-yet-thought, something that must be invented, created differently each time, sometimes we need to generate waves in our minds and use writing as a form of inquiry to make sense through words and then bring those words to life.
