Abstract

Addressing smoking among people who are homeless is a neglected area and strategies to support people who are homeless to quit smoking are required to determine the best method to support these smokers to quit. Treatment guidelines suggest using pharmacotherapies (NRT and varenicline) with counseling. Both NRT and varenicline are associated with long-term quit rates; however, many clinicians are hesitant to prescribe varenicline due to concerns regarding neuropsychiatric safety...
