Abstract

Not-for-Profit (NFP) healthcare providers treating children with cancer (CWC) rely largely on donations to serve their unique mission and are in fierce competition with one another and other profit-making organizations. Reliance on promotion, entrepreneurialism and market-based solutions is central to securing funding. Emotional appeals in cancer fundraising adverts are common and often powerful tools in acquiring donations.
