Abstract

We thank Sanchez and Furberg for their thoughtful comments in response to our recent article in JAMA Oncology on the association between body mass index (BMI) and overall survival with immune checkpoint inhibitor therapy for patients with advanced non–small cell lung cancer.1 We agree that the association of body size with survival outcomes in patients with advanced cancer is complex and evolving.
