Abstract
Pembelajaran bahas Inggris bagi anak usia dini merupakan salah satu program pembelajaran di Indonesia yang juga banyak diterapkan di berbagai negara Asia dan Afrika. Profesionalisme para pendidik (pengajar) dalam mengajarkan bahasa Inggris sebagai bahasa asing untuk anak usia dini membutuhkan ilmu teori dan praktik yang kesemuanya itu dapat membantu mereka dalam menghadapi berbagai persoalan ketika menjalankan peranya sebagai pengajar bahasa asing.
Bab awal buku ini akan membahas tentang teori dan praktik pembelajaran bahasa Inggris bagi anak usia dini. Prinsip utama dalam pembelajaran bahasa Inggris bagi anak usia dini adalah para anak harus didukung dalam membangun pemahamannya dalam setiap aktivitas penggunaan bahasa selama di kelas pembelajaran bahasa Inggris.
Learning English for early childhood is one of the learning programs in Indonesia which is also widely implemented in various Asian and African countries. The professionalism of educators (teachers) in teaching English as a foreign language to early childhood requires theoretical and practical knowledge, all of which can help them in facing various problems when carrying out their role as foreign language teachers.
The first chapter of this book will discuss the theory and practice of learning English for early childhood. The main principle in learning English for early childhood is that children must be supported in building their understanding in every language use activity during the English learning class.
