Abstract

The aetiological role of Helicobacter pylori (HP) in the genesis of duodenal and gastric ulceration and the importance of its eradication are now well recognised. Lansoprazole, a proton pump inhibitor with marked similarities to omeprazole, is now available in some European countries.
