Abstract

The Collaboration between Flinders University and the University of Canberra forms part of the project “Towards physical literacy for every child: the South Australian 'proof of concept' for delivery of the PEPL Approach at scale;” a project, under the direction of the University of Canberra research team (UC) and project management by the Department for Education.
Flinders University, in collaboration with University of Canberra, assessed the feasibility and effectiveness of a future state-wide, systemic roll-out of the PEPL Approach in South Australian primary schools. Analyses of data collected from the assessment procedures will contribute to the project report to be compiled by University of Canberra, in collaboration with the Collaborating Party, Department for Education and ACHPER SA.
The Flinders University role extended to providing professional consultancy to the University of Canberra through the University of Canberra Principal Research team and Department for Education through the Project Manager. This took place (but not exclusively) during meetings as organised by the Department for Education Project Manager; meetings which may have had representation from the PEPL educators, and University of Canberra Research team and ACHPER SA. It was not the role of Flinders University to evaluate the governance model of the project
