Summary: Pneumocystis carinii pneumonitis successfully treated with trimethoprim‐sulpha‐methoxazole. Pneumocystis carinii pneumonitis was diagnosed on lung biopsy in an immunosup‐pressed patient. Therapy with trimethoprim‐sulphamethoxazole led to a rapid clinical recovery with no side‐effects being observed.
