Post-traumatic recurrent erosion of the cornea

Abstract

Recurrent erosion of the corneal epithelium following a traumatic corneal abrasion is not uncommon. The fact that symptoms usually occur at night or upon waking should alert the practitioner to the diagnosis. Treatment with a lubricating ointment is often effective.
