Abstract
Percutaneous thermal ablation (PTA) is widely used as a curative option in subjects with early stage (BCLC-A) hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). Despite successful ablation with complete radiological response, the risk of HCC recurrence remains high. Despite the widespread use of PTA, to our knowledge there are no large studies that have investigated for factors predicting recurrence of HCC post PTA. Our primary aim therefore was to evaluate factors predicting the recurrence of HCC post PTA.
