Abstract
The process of writing books happens over many years and involves many people. It is a journey that twists and turns and it gathers its own momentum often leading the editors and contributors to new insights and discoveries. This has certainly been our experience as we have navigated this exciting journey. As three editors, we started this book assuming our ideas for the ways we wanted to share our own learning journeys would be straightforward and engaging. We also wanted to practice the philosophy we were sharing in the book. In telling the story of how we established and embedded an integrated knowledge translation approach to the applied research activity of the Caring Futures Institute at Flinders University, we would be able to engage our colleagues and stakeholders in co-producing material that would help clarify many of the complex issues involved in successfully translating new evidence into practice...
