Abstract
Learning a language is essentially an attempt to communicate with people from different linguistic and cultural backgrounds. Considering that effective teaching must be based and focused on communication, the main purpose of foreign language teaching should be addressed in the same direction,so that learners can develop their ability to communicate in a language different from their mother tongue in real situations (Widdowson, 1978; Brown, 1987; Yang & Chen, 2007). However, it is not always easy to provide students with real and natural foreign language environments. In this light, the arrival of technology to education, and more specifically of Internet, entailed a milestone in language teaching methodologies (Ganderton, 1998; Hellebrand, 1999; Lee, 2000)...
