Abstract

The aim of this chapter is to identify, report and evaluate the evidence to answer common clinical dilemmas in prophylaxis and treatment of urinary tract infections in adults. We examine the evidence for use of cranberry and antibiotics in preventing UTI, and examine which antibiotic class, route of administration and duration of treatment is best for treating UTI.
