Abstract

Readers who have recently consulted the Information for Authors page for JBI Evidence Synthesis may have noticed some changes to the journal’s requirements for submissions. These are not policy changes, but rather, clarifications of the existing policy to make clear to authors what is required for a systematic or scoping review submission to be successfully entered into the peer review process and, subsequently, published. An integral aspect of those requirements is the existence of an a priori, complete, and publicly available protocol that follows JBI methods and aligns with the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analysis (PRISMA) statement1 as specified in the JBI Manual for Evidence Synthesis.
