Abstract

Electronic health records (EHRs) have been widely adopted in healthcare provision, despite concerns about usability, accessibility and data security.1 We highlight a recent egregious incident that illustrates the risks of exposure of online EHRs that contain sensitive psychiatric history and/or personal details of patients and practitioners.
