Abstract

In March 2021 the SA Government established a cross-government Safety and Wellbeing Taskforce to examine ways forward in responding to concerns around cultural safety, vulnerability and an increase in anti-social (and sometimes violent) behaviour in Adelaide’s CBD associated with visitors from remote Aboriginal communities. This Evaluation Report documents some of the work of the Safety and Wellbeing Taskforce during 2021, focusing particularly on the cultural safety response the Taskforce co-designed and co-delivered with Aboriginal communities and other stakeholders: Puti on Kaurna Yerta, meaning Bush in the City, also referred to widely (including in this report) as PKY or, simply, ‘the hub’.
