Abstract
A recent paper in this Journal by Brownbill, Braunack‐Mayer and Miller looked at the use of the Health Star Rating (HSR) system on non‐dairy or non‐alcoholic drinks in Australia. They found only a third (35%) of these beverages displayed the HSR and called for mandatory display of the HSR on beverages. We believe while it is important to look at the HSR from a product supply perspective, it is also important to look at consumer recall of and confidence in using the HSR.
